Saturday, 1 November 2003 Elsie M. Huntley, 95, of Andalusia passed away Thursday, Oct. 30, 2003, at her home. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Andaulsia Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Larson Funeral Home, Rock Island . Memorials may be made to Pathway Hospice. Elsie was born Jan. 5, 1908 , in Rock Island , the daughter of George and Elsie Sisco Nelson. She married Rollin Huntley on Nov. 24, 1926 , in Rock Island . He died Jan. 9, 1970

. Elsie worked as a seamstress at Seaford Clothing in Rock Island for 18 years, retiring in 1973. She was a member of OES Lodge 269 and DeMolay Mother's Club, both in Rock Island . She enjoyed flower gardening and working word puzzles.

Survivors (and spouses) include her sons, Delbert (Sallie) Huntley and Kenneth (Karen) Huntley, both of Andalusia ; grandchildren and spouses, Tom and Connie Huntley, Andalusia , Linda and Tim Gieseman, Coal Valley, Stuart and Pam Huntley, Adel , Iowa , Sandra and Doug DeBode, Schneckeville , Pa. , Neil and Holly Huntley, Columbia , Md. , Joe and Pam Huntley, Moline , and Jerry Huntley, Andalusia ; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; several nieces and nephews, and one cousin.

In addition to her parents and husband, Elsie was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Evelyn Mae Huntley; sisters, Louise "Kitty" Ludwig, Ruth "Bunny" Bysinger, Margaret "Inky" Richards, Kathryn "Cookie" Klepper, and Novella "Chili" Miller; brothers, George and Robert Nelson; and nieces Shirley Ludwig and Delores Goold.
