Hampton , May 14.
E.W. Adams, a well known citizen of Hampton , died very suddenly yesterday of rheumatism of the heart. He had been in his usual health during the day, and about 4:30 p.m. , while preparing to go to his farm on Campbell 's Island , was taken ill and died before aid could be summoned. Mr. Adams was born in Nicholas county, Ky. , October 6, 1825 , and was consequently sixty-three years of age. He resided some years in Boone county, Indiana, and removed to this county in 1842. He leaves a wife and five children - Mrs. O.M. Bisant, of this place; Mrs. Geo. F. Holland, of South Chicago, Illinois, Joseph W., of Mason City, Iowa, Myra and Harry B., here.
