Mrs. Hester Adaline Sisco, 73, of 1304 Second street , a Rock Island resident for 31 years, died at 5:30 o'clock last evening in St. Anthony's hospital, where she had been confined the past two weeks.
The body was taken to the Knox mortuary, where funeral services will be held at 3:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. The Rev. Frederick J. Rolf, pastor of Evangelical Church of Peace, will officiate, and burial will be in Chippiannock cemetery
. Mrs. Sisco, the former Miss Hester Gordon, was born in Eliza , Ill. , Feb. 5, 1866 , a daughter of the last Allen and Charlotte Gordon. She recieved her education in Eliza, and was married to Calvin Sisco in Muscatine , Iowa , Oct. 4, 1898 . The couple moved from Eliza to Rock Island 31 years ago. Mr. Sisco died Sept. 29, 1939 . Mrs. Sisco was a member of the Evangelical Church of Peace.
Survivors are four sons, Ralph C., Clarance C., and Clifford Sisco, all of Rock Island , and Everett Shotwell, of Tipton , Iowa ; three daughters, Mrs. William Parr and Mrs. John Johnson, both of Rock Island , and Mrs. Effie McDevitt of Denver , Colo. ; a sister, Mrs. Nettie Gillham of Des Moines , Iowa ; a brother Lewis Gordon of Rock Island ; two stepdaughters, Mrs. George Nelson and Mrs. John Baumann of Rock Island ; 17 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. Five sons, a daughter, a brother and a sister preceded her in death.
