JOHN FRANKLIN NELSON

Frank Nelson, 83, a retired employee of Rock Island Millwork Co., died at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Anthony's hospital, Rock Island , following a short illness. He lived at 1102 Second avenue , Rock Island . Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. in the Hodgson chapel, with the Rev. Melvin D. Suttie, pastor of Gloria Dei United Presbyterian church, officiating. Burial will be in Chippiannock cemetery, Rock Island.

Friends may call in the chapel after noon today. He was born June 6, 1870 , in Cable, Ill. , and had resided in Rock Island for the past 50 years. Surviving is a brother, George Nelson, Rock Island. His wife and a sister preceded him in death.
