KATHRYN "KATIE" WHITE (McNeill)

Mrs. Carrie White, 78, of 727 Third street , Rock Island , died at 1:10 o'clock yesterday afternoon in the Moline Public hospital where she had been confined since Wednesday night.

Mrs. White, the former Miss Carrie McNeill, was born in Edinburgh , Scotland , March 20, 1865 , a daughter of the late John and Agnes McNeill, and came to the United States with her parents when she was nine years old. They settled in Pennsylvania and later removed to Cable, Ill. She was wed to Calvin Sisco and two daughters were born to that union. He preceded her in death and she was married to Benjamin F. White in Rock Island in 1896.

Surviving are the widower; two daughters, Mesdames George Nelson and John F. Baumann, both of Rock Island ; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Lang, Alliance , Ohio ; Miss Jean McNeill, Salt Lake City , Utah , and Mrs. Fred White, Sherrard; a brother, William McNeill, Weirton , W. Va. ; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon in Knox Memorial chapel. The Rev. H.C. Noah, pastor of the Bethel Assembly of God church, will officiate. Burial will be in Chippannock cemetery.
