Milan Independant Announcement has been made of the marriage of Winifred Lucille Brandenburg daughter of C.A. Brandenburg of Milan to Joseph W. Norton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph P. Norton 1317 Fifth Avenue, Rock Island. The ceremony was performed Saturday afternoon in Davenport with Rev. James Suiter assisant pastor of St. Mark's Lutheran Church officiating. The parents of the bride groom attended the pair.
A wedding dinner was served Sunday noon in the Norton home. 30 guests being present. Decorations were in blue and old rose, the wedding colors. Garden flowers were used about the home.The bride attended school in Milan and Rock Island high school. Mr. Norton attended Rock Island elementary and high schools and is employed by the Republic Steel Corporation, Moline.
Mr. and Mrs. Norton will reside in the home of the bride groom's parents.

James D. Christy married Miss Goldie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Ranbarger of Milan on June 6 at the home of the brides parents.A very pretty wedding ocurred on Wednesday evening June 6 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Ranbarger of milan where Miss Goldie Ranbarger was united in the bonds of matramony to James D. Christy by Rev. Henry Cullen.
After congratulations a dainty lunch was served. The young couple have started their wedded life with the sincerest wishes of their many friends for a happy prosperous voyage.

Brandenburg/ Ranbarger
On Tuesday evening Rev. Henry Cullen D.D. of the Milan Presbyterian church joined in holy wedlock Mr. William D. Brandenburg and Miss Myrtle L. Ranbarger of Milan. The ceremony was witnessed by only a few immediate relatives of the happy couple.
The bride is well and favorably known here and has a large circle of friends here. The groom is the son of Mrs. William Dickson and is a member of the painting firm of Brandenburg Bros. He was born and reared in Milan and is a man of exceptionally good habits.
Mr. and Mrs. Brandenburg will at once go to housekeeping in the cozy little cottage on Grant street, which the grrom has lately aquired and furnished for the recetion of his bride.
The Independant together with a host of friends wish the happy couple a pleasant journey through life.
