The losses of the regiment in this engagement were sixty-seven. As the term of service of this regiment had so nearly expired, the men did not participate in the march to the sea, but left the advancing army and were sent home to Spring field, Ill., and mustered out, having served three years and two mouths to June 18, 1864.
