THE REYNOLDS PATTERN AND MACHINE COMPANY

The Reynolds Pattern and Machine Company, whose place of business is at 101-103 Third avenue, is one of the most up to date and enterprising engineering concerns in the middle West. The corporation was organized in the spring of 1911 to take over the jobbing, pattern and machine shop business formerly conducted by the Tri- City Pattern and Machine Company, and also the automatic machinery business formerly carried on by the Reynolds Machine Company.

These two firms had been in business for some time previous to this and had established a reputation for first class work and in the production of accurate labor-saving machinery. The rapidly growing business of both concerns at this time demanded increased facilities for manufacturing and the two concerns were con solidated, a large amount of additional machinery purchased, and the business continued at the location which had been occupied by the Tri-City Pattern and Machine Company.

The company manufactures automatic machinery and machine tools and makes a specialty of automatic screw driving machines and gear bobbing machines. Their machines have been on the market a comparatively short time but are already in use in all the principal manufacturing districts of this country and Canada, as also in Europe, shipments having been made to England, Trance, Germany and Russia. In addition to manufacturing, the company does a large business in general machine shop and pattern work, being equipped to turn out patterns of all kinds in wood or metal and having a first-class equipment of machine tools.

The firm makes a specialty of tools, jigs and fixtures for interchangeable manufacturing in which a high degree of accuracy and finish is required. The officers of the corporation are G. D. Reynolds, president; J. P. Reynolds, vice-president; J. D. Mangelsdorf, secretary, and E. A. Miller, treasurer
