ROCK ISLAND -- Services for Paul F. "Olie" Johnson, of Rock Island , will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island . Burial will be in National Cemetery , Rock Island , with military services by Moline American Legion Post 246. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Wheelan Funeral Home, Rock Island, with a wake service at 6:30 p.m. followed by a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Service. Mr. Johnson died Friday, July 3, 1998 , at St. Anthony's Continuing Care Center , Rock Island . He retired in 1982 as a supervisor after 34 years at Alcoa. He was born July 4, 1924 , in Rock Island . He married Frances Angaran in 1952 in Rock Island . During World War II, he served in the Navy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Pius X Catholic Church or Alleman High School . Survivors include his wife; sons, Mark, Champaign, Ill., Jeff, Ottawa, Ill., Gregg, Moline, and Olie Jr., St. Louis; nine granddaughters; sisters, Helen Ernst, New Orleans, Bernice Ruckel, Moline, Pat Bickel, Andalusia, Ill., and Marge DePaepe, Rock Island; and a brother, Robert, Moline.
