Mrs. Bessie B. Sims
Bessie B. Sims, 75, of 233 E. 4th St. Milan died today at Franciscan Medical Center, Rock Island. Funeral services are 10 A.M. Thursday at Larsson Funeral Home, Milan. The Rev. Robert E. Jenson, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Milan will officate and burial will be in Chippianock Cemetery, Rock Island. Visitation is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
The former Bessie Brandenburg was born June 28, 1909 in Milan. The daughter of Charles and Maude Brandenburg. She lived in Milan all her life.She married Herman Weert Sims. March 22, 1927 in Rock Island. He died Nov. 24, 1979. Mrs. Sims was a member of the above church.
Pallbearers will be Wayne and Dean Sheese, Michael Koster, John Gunther, Dan Spah, Rick Blasik Survivors are a daughter Mrs. Barbara E. Sheese of Milan, three grandchildren, a great grandchild, two sisters Mrs. Dorthea Connaly and Mrs. Winifred Norton both of Milan.
