Mrs. Mabel Hale Succombs
Mrs. Mabel Lavina Ranbarger Hale, age 58, of Milan, a life long resident of Rock Island County died 5:30 last evening, at St. Anthonys hospital after six days illness of complications.
The body was taken to Knox mortuary, Rock Island and funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon in the Knox memorial Chapel. The Rev. Ralph E. Lemmon, pastor of the Milan Presbyterian Church will officiate and burial will be in Chippianock Cemetery.
Mrs. Hale was born June 6, 1880 in the part of Moline formaerly known as South Moline. She had recided in Milan for forty years, being married to Joseph Hale on Dec. 25, 1900. Mrs Hale was a widow .
Surviving are a daughter Gertrude Rhodes with whom Mrs. Hale made her home in Milan, and granddaughter DyAnn Rhodes, a brother George W. Ranbarger, Milan and two sisters, Mrs. Violet Koob and Mrs. Winifred Mc Burney both of Rock Island.
