MRS. DUMBAULD DIES: SERVICES TO BE TUESDAY

 

Resident Succumbs to Double Pneumonia; Shock from fall hastens death.

Mrs. Charlotte Dumbauld ,77, a resident about forty years died at 8 o’clock

Yesterday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Laura Olson , 1032 fifteenth street, Rock Island, with whom she resided. Death was due to double pneumonia with shock incurred when she accidentally fell in the home last Thursday as a contributing factor.

 

Mrs. Dumbauld received three fractures of the ribs in the fall.

 

Mrs. Dumbauld was born in Stockholm Sweden on March 25, 1862, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Swanson and came to Galesburg, Ill. when eight years old. She completed her education in Galesburg and married to Osborn Dumbauld in Geneseo, Ill. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Galesburg.

 

Mrs. Dumbauld came to Rock Island from Galesburg in 1900, the same year her husband died.

 

Besides the daughter, Mrs. Olson, those surviving are a sister, Mrs. Edward Smith, Pasadena, Calif.; a brother, Frank Swanson of Des Moines, Iowa, a grand daughter, Mrs. Robert L.Hallett and a great grand daughter, Sharon L. Hallett also of Rock Island.

 

A twin sister, Mrs. John Ranbarger and a brother, John Swanson, New Orleans, La preceded her in death.

 

The body was taken to Knox mortuary where services will be held at 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon. The Rev. Lawrence W. Johnson, pastor of the Central Presbyterian Church will officiate and burial will be in Chippiannock Cemetery.
