  MRS. J.C. BISANT DIES AT CARBON CLIFF TODAY

Mrs. Sarah Bisant, wife of J.C. Bisant of Carbon Cliff, brother of Chief of Police O.M. Bisant of this city, died at her home this afternoon at 2 o'clock. She had been suffering for the last three years with a cancer and was not expected to survive the week out. Mrs. Bisant was born in Osceola, Pa. May 25, 1855 and was the daughter of Abraham and Minerva Barton. Her maiden name was Sarah L. Barton and she was married to Mr. Bisant in 1880. They have resided in the upper end of the county for a number of years and Mrs. Bisant was one of the highly respected women of the community, and her death will be the cause for great sorrow. She leaves her husband and one daughter, Alice E., aged 11, and her aged mother who has been residing at the Bisant home. Also one brother. The funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Bowlesburg church.
