Mr. Wesley Bisant

Mr. Wesley Bisant, whose severe illness we mentioned the other day, departed this life at 7 p.m. on Sunday at his residence on Second avenue in this city. The immediate cause of his death was consumption with severe bronchial difficulty. Mr. Bisant was born on Feb. 29, 1812 in Muskingum county, Ohio . He emigrated to Rock Island county in 1835 and settled as a farmer near Carbon Cliff. In 1843 he married Miss Taylor, daughter of the late John R. Taylor of Moline. His widow and grown family survive him. He was one of the original signers of the Old Settlers' Association. The funeral will take place today, at 11 a.m. from the Wells school house, four miles east of Moline, to Porter's Cemetery. The remains will leave the residence on Second avenue at 9 a.m. All members of the Old Settlers' Association and friends are invited to attend.
