Toulon - Gene W. Catton, 72, of
805 W. Clinton died at 5:07 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, 1997, at Kewanee Hospital.
Born Jan. 31, 1924, in West Jersey to John and Anna Mae Peve Catton, he married
Alice Reining on Nov. 16, 1944, in Wyoming. She died March 27, 1973. He married
Willidean Medearis Reining on June 25, 1977, in Wyoming. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter,
Sherry Catton Turner of Tucson, Ariz.; one stepdaughter, Karmella Reining of
Toulon; four sisters, Lois Chamberlain and Eveline Lind, both of Toulon; Lelah
Leadley of Owatonna, Minn., and Alice Sturm of Belvidere; one brother, Vincent
of Toulon; and four grandsons. One son and five brothers preceded him in death.
A World War II Army veteran, he
was a member of the Toulon American Legion. He was a farmer in the Toulon area
for many years.
Services will be at 2 p.m.
Friday at the DeBolt-Kidd Funeral Home in Toulon, where visitation will be one
hour earlier. Burial will be in Toulon Cemetery.

American Lung Association or any charity.
