Robert D. Catton, 65, of Annawan, died suddenly Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2003, at Illini Hospital, Silvis.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Vandemore Funeral Home, Atkinson. Burial wil be in the Annawan Cemetery. Memorials may be left to the Robert Catton Memorial Fund.

Robert was born Oct. 14, 1937, in West Jersey, Ill., the son of Vernon and Wilna Chamberlin Catton. He married Beverly Blagg Aug. 30, 1958 in Annawan.

He was a 1956 graduate of Annawan High School. He was employed as a foreman at Morton Buildings Inc., where he had worked for over 30 years. He loved his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Bev; two sons and spouse, Russell Catton, Milan, Robert and Diane Catton, Fairbury, Ill.; one daughter and spouse, Kimberly and Steven Craig, Henderson, Nev.; his mother, Wilna Catton, Rock Island; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters and spouses, Betty and Walter VerVynch, Kewanee, Barbara and James Birggs, La Canada, Calif., Ann Graham, Rock Island; brothers and spouse, Paul and Bobbbie Catton, Colona.
