Born Aug. 27, 1915, in West Jersey to Francis and Anna Peve Catton, he married Violet Howell. He later married Mary Lou Ham. She died in 1994. Five brothers also preceded him in death. Surviving are one daughter, Katherine Catton of Los Angeles; one son, Dale of Toulon; one stepson, Floyd Ham of Toulon; one stepdaughter, Anita Ham of Orlando, Fla.; four sisters, Lois Chamberlain and Eveline Lind, both of Toulon, Alice Sturms of Belvidere and Lela Leadley of Galesburg; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was a carpenter in the Toulon area for many years.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at DeBolt-Kidd Funeral Home. The Rev. Paul Wier will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Memory Gardens in Kewanee.
