William
Morton Crandall, a well-known resident of Peoria until five years ago, died at
his late residence in Wyoming, Ill., last evening at 8:30 o'clock at the age of
78. He was a retired railroad employee and was widely known among railroad men
here.
He was born in Peoria, March 2, 1850, the son of John
Wesley and Jane Crandall. His marriage to Marcella Ellen Todd took place more
than a half century ago. He was a member of Diamond camp, Modern Woodmen of
America.
His wife, Marcella Todd Crandall, is his only immediate
survivor.
Funeral services will be held at the Wilton mortuary
chapel Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock, with the Rev. John W. Todd, Shenandoah,
Iowa, officiating. Interment will be in Springdale cemetery. Friends may call at
the chapel after 4 p.m. Tuesday.
