Farmington - Dorothy "Duff" Duncan, 77,
of Rural Route 1 died at 4:12 p.m. Monday, March 14, 1994, at Saint
Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Born May 16, 1916, in Elmore to Bert
and Marie Catton Chamberlin, she married Mitchell "Dyke" Duncan on
July 31, 1938, in Muscatine, Iowa. He survives.

Also surviving are one son, Tom of
Denver; one brother, Dick Chamberlin of Galesburg; six sisters,
Wilma "Toots" Catton of Rock Island, Mary Ward of Duncan, Mrs.
Clifford (Sue) Allen of West Jersey, Shirley Cade of Columbia, Mo.,
Mrs. Will (Nancy) Tracy of Wyoming and Ruth Mayes of St. Petersburg,
Fla.; two grandsons; and two great-grandsons. Two brothers and one
sister preceded her in death.

She graduated for Kewanee Public Hospital
School of Nursing in 1938. She was head nurse at the St. Francis
Medical Center emergency room in Peoria for 23 years, retiring in
1981. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Kidd Funeral Home in
Toulon. The Rev. Rick Anderson will officiate. Visitation will be
from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in
West Jersey Cemetery in West Jersey. Memorials may be made to any
charity. |
