Dorrance J. King, 65, of
W3465 Markert Road, Helensville, Wis., formerly of Stark
Co. and brother of area residents, died Friday, July 19,
1991, at University Hospital in Madison, Wis.

Born July 14, 1926, in
Stark County to Leslie and Ila Catton King, he married
Elvessa Crozier on March 4, 1951, in Elmwood. She
survives.
|
|
Also surviving are two
daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Teri) Hetzel of Madison and
Seaman 3rd Class Lynn King, serving in the Navy; five
sons, Douglas, Jerry and Steven, all of Jefferson, Wis.,
Leslie and Mark, both of Helenville; eight
grandchildren; two sisters, his twin sister, Mrs.
Kenneth (Dena) Updyke of Peoria, and Mrs. Alan
(Virginia) Ford of Wyoming; and two brothers, Jerry and
Ralph, both of Wyoming. He was preceded in death by one
brother, Floyd.

He farmed near Princeville
in Peoria County and near West Jersey in Stark County
before moving to Wisconsin, where he had farmed in the
Helenville area since 1968. He was a World War II Navy
veteran.

He was a member of Immanuel
United Methodist Church in Jefferson, where services
will be at 11 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Richard Hartlerode
will officiate. Calling hours will be after 5 p.m.
Sunday at Olsen Funeral Home in Jefferson and one hour
before the services at the church. Burial will be in
Rock River Cemetery in Jefferson, with military rites
accorded. |
