TOULON - Cecil W.
Whittaker, 89, of Prestige Assisted Living at Smoketree in Lake Havasu City,
Ariz., formerly of Touon, died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2003, at his residence.
Born July 3, 1913, in Toulon to
Morrow and Nora Cox Whittaker, he married Virginia Stygh on April 27, 1935, in
Toulon. She died June 5, 1995, in Toulon.
He was also preceded in death by
one son and one sister.
Surviving are two sons, Jim (and
Marge) of Taylor, Texas, and Gary (and Carol) of Toulon; seven grandchildren;
nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He farmed in the Toulon area for
many years and was a member of the Flying Farmers during the 1950s.
He was a member of Stark County
Farm Bureau and the American Milking Shorthorn Association. He also was a member
of the Toulon Lions Club.
He was a member of the First
Congregational Church of Toulon.
Services will be at 2 p.m.
Saturday at his church, where visitation will be one hour before. The Rev. Wayne
McLeod will officiate. Burial will be in Toulon Cemetery. DeBolt-Kidd Funeral
Home is in charge of arrangements.
