Boone County was organized from Winnebago County on March 3, 1836. It was named in honor of Kentucky's pioneer, Daniel Boone. Boone County is bordered on the north by Rock and Walworth Counties in Wisconsin, on the south by DeKalb County, on the east by McHenry County and on the west by Winnebago County. Boone County is the smallest of the northern counties. It has an area of 290 square miles The County seat, Belvidere was platted in 1837.

We meet at the Spring Creek United Church of Christ, located at 4500 Spring Creek Road in Rockford, Illinois, unless otherwise noted.
Monthly meetings are held September through May, usually on the first Saturday of the month and start at 1:30 p.m.
