Constance Andeen

Constance Y. Andeen, 73, Rockford , died Monday, Oct. 25, 1993 , at Rockford Memorial Hospital .

Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Tabor Lutheran Church , Rockford . Burial is in Scandinavian Cemetery , Rockford . Visitation is 9 a.m. to service time. Memorials may be made to the student scholarship fund at Augustana College . Fred C. Olson Mortuary, Rockford , is in charge of the arrangements.

The former Constance Carlson was born Sept. 20, 1920 , in Rockford , the daughter of Robert and Anna Peterson Carlson. She married Reverend G. Kenneth Andeen, June 22, 1945 , in Rockford . Mrs. Andeen and her family spent their summers in Conover , Wis. , since 1957. During that time her husband was the President of Bethany College and Wittenberg University , and she participated fully in college and community life.

She was a graduate of Rockford Central High School and Augustana College . She was a high school business teacher at Winnebago High School , Winnebago, Ill. ; Moline High School ; Conant High School , Schaumber , Ill. ; and Rockford Lutheran High School , Rockford . She was a member of the Pioneer Lake Lutheran Church , Conover , Wis. ; also a member and officer of a variety of church, civic and educational institutions.

Survivors include the widower; a daughter, Kathryn Campbell, Brookfield , Wis. ; sons, Dr. Gerhardt Andeen, Portland , Ore. and Timothy R. Andeen, Arlington Heights , Ill. ; eight grandchildren; and several cousins
