The marriage of Miss Mattie
(Margaret Elizabeth) Woltzen to Mr. Benjamin Gossman (should be
Gastman) was solemnized at the parsonage of the Lutheran church in
Clayton township February 19 (1918), Rev J. W. Haverman officiating.
During the ceremony Miss Dena Woltzen, sister of the bride, and Mr.
Albert Woltzen, cousin of the bride, stood with the bridal couple.
Following the ceremony the party drove to the home of the bride's
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Heye Woltzen, where they enjoyed a few social
hours. They will go to farming on the Martin Obert farm, one mile
north and one mile east of Benson. The groom is well known, having
followed farm work for several years. Both young people have the
best wishes of their many friends
