Clyde Francis Roberts and Clara Elizabeth Bailey

El Paso, Woodford Co, Illinois

Clyde was born 1908, Palestine Township, Woodford County.  His parents were Charles Thomas and Ida Mary (Kridner) Roberts of Woodford County.

Clara was born September 28, 1907 in El Paso.  Her parents were John Spencer and Clara Irene (King) Bailey of Woodford County.

Attending the couple were the groom's brother, Cecil Roberts, born 1914 in El Paso, and the bride's sister, Irene Rose Bailey, born 1901 in El Paso.

Clara was a seamstress and made her dress and veil, purchasing the pearl and lace inset for the veil.

Edward Tjaden and Alvena Warnkes

Benson Couple Being Wed This Afternoon -- Edward C. Tjaden and Miss Alvena Warnkes Are the Happy Principals

At St Peter's Lutheran parsonage at Benson this afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. O. H. Behrens, the pastor, is officiating at a double ring ceremony that unites the lives of Edward C. Tjaden and Miss Alvena M. Warnkes. Miss Pearl Tjaden, sister of the bridegroom, and Norman Warnkes, brother of the bride, are the attendants.

The bride is dressed in Copenhagen blue, with harmonizing accessories, and she is wearing a corsage of roses. Her attendant's dress is of tile red and she also wears a rose corsage. The happy man's suit is of oxford gray and his attendant is choosing dark blue.

Supper will be served to the immediate relatives at 6 o'clock at the bride's home and on next Monday night a public reception will be held at De Wilde's hall in Benson.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Warnkes of Benson, and Mr and Mrs. Harm Tjaden are the parents of the brides groom. Both of the young couple spent their lives in that vicinity and they are esteemed highly by all.

Robert (Bob) Milashoski and Marilyn (Mernie) Tjaden

Minonk Couple Married in Rectory

Minonk - Miss Marilyn Tjaden and Robert Milashoski were married at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the rectory of St Patrick's Church in Minonk. The bride is the daughter of the Edward Tjaden and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Milashoski.

Miss Pat Curley and Virgil Volk of Washington attended the couple. The bride was dressed in a navy blue suit with navy blue and white accessories. Miss Curley wore blue grey with black accessories. Both carried bouquets of roses.

The now Mrs. Milashoski graduated from high school in the Minonk-Dana unit and has been employed by the Minonk Telephone Company. Mr. Milashoski is employed at the Granert Clothing Company. After a wedding trip, the couple will live in Minonk.
