![]() Newton Sheen Hardware 25 West Front Street 1898 On the left of this photo is the Newton Sheen Hardware Store. In 1895 in an upstairs room, Fulton J. Sheen, later to become Catholic Bishop of the Peoria Diocese, was born. The dormer windows of this building were added in 1898. The Sheen's sold their property to O.C. Guillemont and moved to Peoria, IL, when their son, Fulton, grew up. |
