The Dillard Woosley Family

about 1904

Rural Carlock, Kansas Township, Woodford County

Dillard and his wife, Nancy Gravitt, came to this area before 1871, from Estill County, Kentucky. Their daughter, Launa, married Henry Green, uncle to Elmer Bayles, who took in Elmer to raise about 1903.

In the back, fifth from the left, is Henry Green.  Henry's sister, Maude Green, married Lewis "Buddy" Woosley.

Elmer Earl Bayles is the fifth child from the left.

Woodford County Jury

about 1905

Around 1905, Henry Green was a juror for a Woodford County trial that was apparently fairly famous for the time.  Included in this jury picture were:  David Hanna, El Paso, Mr. Hawk, Washburn, Mr. Gilbert, El Paso, Ben Ludwig, Roanoke, Amos Marshall, Eureka, Frank Haas, El Paso, W. Jackson, Eureka, Henry Green, Kansas Township, W. Uphoff, Benson, R. H Switzer, Roanoke, W. S. Wilson, Bailiff, and R. H. Musick, Bailiff.

It appears to be Henry Green standing fifth from the left.  However if anyone can match the names to the jurors we would appreciate it.
